Sid also studied architecture at the University
of Western Australia. Graduating with Honours in 2001, his dissertation
focussed on the role of computer technology in architectural
education and practice.
Prior to forming the Architecture Collective with Patrick, Sid
has previously operated his own IT consulting business and worked
for a variety of practices including Craig Steere Architects
and Syrinx Environmental. He has also provided consulting services
to organisations such as Autodesk Ltd and Square One, developers
of Ecotect®.
Sid's areas of expertise include residential and interior
design, energy efficiency, designing for site and climate, solar
radiation analysis, daylighting analysis and passive solar design.
Sid lectures at a number of universities and colleges, including
the University of Western Australia, Curtin University of Technology,
Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and Central TAFE.
His specialty areas include computer aided design, building
information modelling, energy efficient building design, and
design and technical communication.
Sid is a member of the Association of Building Sustainability
Assessors (ABSA) and is qualified as a Home Sustainability Assessor.
